Tombstone Shako, Late-War Coatee (Infantry)

The final uniform of the US in the War of 1812; leather "tombstone" shake and an all-blue coatee with white tape only at the collar. A few units had this uniform at Lundy's Lane in the Niagara campaign. It was supposed to be issued in 1813, but supply problems meant that most troops did not receive the new coats until 1813.
