Faro (or "pharoa") was far more popular than poker in the gambling halls and saloons because, unlike poker, it was a "casino" game that required only a dealer, and it was easy to understand and play. You don't see faro games today because statisticians eventually discovered that the odds were not tilted enough in favor of the house! Set includes a dealer, two players, plus faro table and chairs.
